LEARN TO EARN (13 - 15 YEARS)
Year 8 - 9 Duration: Full Day Programme
Preparing young people for the world of work is a key objective for Junior Achievement. We believe it is increasingly important for young people to understand how relevant their education is to their future lives and to succeeding in the business world.
Learn to Earn is presented in six sessions or as a one day seminar designed to give 13 -15 year old students an activity based introduction into the relationship between learning and the attainment of personal goals. The Programme helps students to explore the concepts of success, independence and employment and shows the importance of education in preparing them for the future.
With the guidance of a Teacher and a Volunteer the students create budgets, learn to understand the costs of living on their own and they explore types of careers to match their lifestyle expectations.
