Christmas Themed Window Competition

Starts on: 01/12/2021

Take part in our Living Advent Calendar Competition

The idea of the Living Advent Calendar is to help the community enjoy Christmas whilst at the same time as raising funds for Junior Achievement.

We are looking for 24 houses around the Isle of Man to decorate a street-facing window with a Christmas or wintery scene.  To become part of the living Advent calendar, participants will unveil their design on the days leading up to December 25. The date of your reveal will be allocated in the order that people apply to take part.

Participants are asked to donate or raise £20 for Junior Achievement to take part in the competition. The money raised from this event will support our work across schools in the Isle of Man.

What kind of decoration do I need to do?

Let your creative juices run free and you can do any kind of festive decoration. The only rule is that it needs to be centred on a window that can be revealed and that members of the public can easily see from the road.

Competition

Junior Achievement will provide members of the public with a timetable and a map.

Over Christmas and New Year, we will feature all of the windows on our Facebook page in case not everyone has had the opportunity to visit.

Voting will close on 6th January 2022. The winner will be revealed on Monday 10th January and will be awarded £250 cash and the Living Advent Calendar trophy, kindly sponsored by Smart HR Solutions Ltd.

Junior Achievement Isle of Man is a Manx-registered charity (N0665) dedicated to helping the Island’s young people gain the essential skills they need when they leave full-time education.
