Volunteers needed for the Royal Manx Agricultural Show

Starts on: 09/08/2019

At Junior Achievement we like to put the ‘fun’ into fundraising and this year we’ve decided to take the magical world of Harry Potter to the Royal Manx Show and need the help of a team of volunteers. For health and safety reasons volunteers are required to be aged 16 and over.

We will be running fun packed potions classes alongside fundraising activities inspired by the Harry Potter films.

Junior Achievement will cover the cost of your entrance to the show and will provide light refreshments. The good news is that all our activities are under cover and are not weather dependent. If you can help we would love to hear from you.

All the money raised from this event will go towards supporting the work of our charity in the Islands schools.

Friday 9th August 10.30am – 4.30pm and / or
Saturday 10th August 9.30am – 4.30pm.

General Help

Can you help us to make the potions class an interactive and memorable experience? Would you be willing to assist younger children with their potions and to tidy and set up after each class? Then this is the role for you.

Alternatively you might like to help run one of our fundraising stalls.

All materials and training provided but we promise it’s not complicated.

For general helpers we can provide teachers capes to go over you clothing if required.

Harry Potter themed characters

If you love dressing up and acting then this could be just the role for you. We would love to hear from anyone who might want to dress up as one of the iconic characters to walk around and engage with members of the public and to have pictures at the selfie stand to help raise funds.

We already have Hagrid and Dobby but still need more characters.
