Join local charity on adventure of a lifetime

Wednesday 21 November 2018

Manx charity Junior Achievement is inviting you to join them on an adventure of a lifetime in 2019, a fundraising trek in Vietnam.

The 10-day Pu Luong trek includes six days of trekking and will take place from Tuesday October 26 to November 4, 2019.

The trek will take you along untouched parts of Asia. Isolated from the world for years, Vietnam is slowly laying its war-torn past to rest and emerging as one of the most interesting and diverse destinations on the Asian continent.

This trek gives you an opportunity to see a country of traditional charm and rare beauty taking its first steps into the modern world. Along the way walkers will be staying in village homes and spend time learning about the local culture.

For the trek Junior Achievement has once again partnered with specialist charity challenge organisers, Ultimate Challenges.

Junior Achievement chief executive Sue Cook said: ‘In April this year I took part in a trek on the Great Wall of China along with 22 other people from the Isle of Man. It was an amazing experience and something I’ll never forget.

‘Such was the success of that trek, which raised more than £14,000, that we’re using the same company to organise this one. The Ultimate Challenges team were extremely professional and looked after us every step of the way.’

There are only 25 spaces available on this trip of a lifetime. A number of people have already signed up with just eight places remaining, available to participants willing to raise funds for Junior Achievement.

The charity will provide you with a fundraising guide along with a t-shirt and collection bucket. Participants have the option of paying for the trip or raising the full amount.

For an information pack call Sue Cook on 666266 or email suecook@jaiom.im

The money raised from the challenge will support the work of Junior Achievement which, each year, helps more than 5,500 young people to develop skills for the workplace.
