90 Volunteers Needed for New School Project Starting in 2025!
Launching in April 2025, 'Challenge for Change' is an exciting new school programme that provides students with an invaluable opportunity to come up with an idea to solve a pressing environmental problem.
Each school will hold a one-day event in the form of a competition. Students will work in groups using creativity, teamwork and problem solving.
With topics like food wastage, fast fashion, energy inefficiency and littering, the programme encourages students to explore innovative ways to make a difference in their community.
The day culminates with student-teams pitching their ideas to a panel of external judges made up of business leaders on the Island.

Why We Need Your Help
As a volunteer, you will work alongside another volunteer to lead the challenge and guide a group of students in a classroom setting, with the support of a teacher.
Junior Achievement will provide full training on the programme and comprehensive resources to help you support the students. Using structured activities and a range of materials, you will guide their exploration of the environmental issues while developing key collaborative skills as they work together on the project.
For businesses, the programme offers a chance to support an initiative that aligns with many of the UN Sustainable Development Goals while showcasing your organisation’s commitment to tackling sustainability issues and inspiring the next generation to do the same.
Volunteering with Junior Achievement is not only a rewarding experience but also an opportunity to connect with young minds and empower students to change their world for the better.
