'Challenge for Change', launched in April, is an exciting new school programme that provides students with an invaluable opportunity to come up with an idea to solve a pressing environmental problem.
Each school will hold a one-day event in the form of a competition. Students will work in groups using creativity, teamwork and problem solving.
With topics like food wastage, fast fashion, energy inefficiency and littering, the programme encourages students to explore innovative ways to make a difference in their community.
The day culminates with student-teams pitching their ideas to a panel of external judges made up of business leaders on the Island.

By the end of this challenge, students will:
- Improve their team working skills by cooperating with each other to get a task completed.
- Develop their communication skills by voicing their ideas and listening to contributions from other team members.
- Manage and organise their time effectively to get the challenge completed.
- Improve their creativity skills by using their imagination to come up with new ideas to tackle environmental issues.
