Our World
"Our World" is our JA Isle of Man programme designed for students of primary school age between 9 and 11 years old.
In this programme, Jane and Rachel, JA Team Members, and volunteers visit a class of Primary Pupils.
Our World looks at why products are imported and exported and the effect of global supply.
Students discover that businesses trade on a worldwide scale. They are introduced to the complexities of global trade between countries at different levels of economic development and the available resources at their disposal.
Finally, the students design a product and a marketing campaign, considering the target market. They then present their idea to the rest of the class.
It was great to see the children developing their collaborative skills. It is a great programme that allows children to develop many skills, including collaboration, resilience and resourcefulness.
