On the day of the competition, you will be asked to give a 4-minute PowerPoint presentation to the judges and other Junior Achievement teams.

You should see this as an opportunity to sell your business idea to the audience.

Things you need to know

  • You can choose who presents.
  • Once your presentation is submitted to JA, you can’t change it.
  • All presentations must be on PowerPoint.
  • Don’t include links that require access to the internet.
  • You have a time limit of four minutes.
  • Microphones and sound are available.
  • Either a team member, teacher or mentor should be available to operate your presentation.
  • You are not allowed to give the judges free samples of your product. If you wish to demonstrate your product, this should be done at the trade stand or during your panel interview.

What should your presentation include?

  • Overview of your business or service.
  • The problem that you are going to solve.
  • Your solution.
  • Feature and benefits of your product or service.
  • Market research and why you are different from your competitors.
  • A brief overview of your financials.
  • A brief introduction to your team.
  • Summary and future plans.
